In addition, Salma started an apprenticeship in pottery at the Tunis Centre National de Ceramique Sidi Kacem el-Jelizi. In doing arts and curating, Salma takes her inspiration from observing social realities and from her experiences within her surroundings.

Since 2016, Salma is part of the curatorial team of INTERFERENCE, where she can materialize her ideas. INTERFERENCE is a light art biennial that invites artists from Tunisia and all over the world to develop their projects inside and with the Medina of Tunis and her inhabitants. Salma is also involved in SEE DJERBA Media art project that takes place in the southern Tunisian island of Djerba. In both festivals she is responsible for a studio where she follows the development of the artworks, discovering and choosing spaces to exhibit projects and for managing teams of volunteers in the framework of the art mediation program.
